🎄 Special Blog Takeover! 🎄 Niall and Kirsten Ellery Have Something to Say!

Hi, everybody! It's us! Niall and Kirsten!

Mama said we could help with the blog today because it's almost CHRISTMAS and that's the most exciting time of the whole entire year and we have SO MUCH to tell you about—

Niall. Use your inside voice.

I AM using my inside voice, Kirsten. This is typing. You can't even hear typing.

You're still being loud.

ANYWAY.

Christmas is coming and we are SO EXCITED. We've been helping Gramma Meagan make cookies and Keagan let us help brush the horses and Mama says if we're really, really good, the big guy might bring us something special this year.

Tell them about the decorations.

Oh yeah! The ranch looks SO PRETTY. There's lights EVERYWHERE and a big tree in the main house that's taller than Keagan, and he's really tall. Like, REALLY tall. And there's stockings hung up and Gramma says there might be one more stocking this year—

Niall!

What?

We're not supposed to tell them everything.

But they should KNOW, Kirsten! Christmas is when extraordinary things happen! It's when everything changed for us, remember? When Keagan came home and he and Mama—

NIALL.

You can't say more. Some people might not have read our story yet.

But WHY haven't they read it? The whole book is RIGHT THERE. Available on the Zon and in KU.

The Zon?

That's what Mama calls it. A-M-A-Zon. The Zon.

That's... never mind. The point is, we can't spoil the surprise.

I don't understand why anyone would NOT have read it yet. It has US in it. And Keagan. And HORSES. And there's bad guys who try to do mean things but then the whole town stands up together and—

Niall Murrough Ellery.

Fine. FINE.

But seriously, if you haven't read Keagan: Finding the Way Home yet, you should probably do that. Right now. We'll wait.

We're not actually waiting.

We could wait. I'm very patient.

You're the least patient person I know.

You don't know that many people, Kirsten.

I know enough.

Okay, okay. Kirsten's giving me The Look. You know the one. The one where her eyebrows go all scrunchy and she looks like Gramma when someone tracks mud on her clean floors.

I do not look like that.

You totally do.

Just tell them the nice part.

FINE.

The nice part is that Christmas is almost here, and last year Christmas was really hard because we missed Daddy so much and everything felt all wrong and sad. But this year...

This year feels different.

Good different.

Really good different.

We have a bigger family now. And our family is the BEST. Keagan makes Mama laugh—like, really laugh, the kind where she snorts a little and then pretends she didn't—and Gramma Meagan always has cookies and Grampa Thomas and Gamma Margaret came to visit and they said we'll always be their Murroughs even though we're also Ellerys now—

That's the best part.

It really is.

And Daddy would have liked Keagan.

He would have. Mama said so.

Anyway! We have to go now because it's almost bedtime and Mama says we have to put out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer and then we have to go to sleep REALLY FAST so the big guy can come.

Niall's been practicing going to sleep fast.

It's a skill, Kirsten!

You've been lying there with your eyes squeezed shut saying "I'm sleeping, I'm sleeping" for the last three nights.

PRACTICE. MAKES. PERFECT.

If you say so.

Merry Christmas from the Ellery Ranch!

Love, Niall (the fun one) and Kirsten (the bossy one)

I'm not bossy. I'm... organized.

Sure, Kirsten. Sure.

...I can hear you rolling your eyes.

Can not. Eyes don't make sounds.

Yours do.

💕 🎄 💕

P.S. — Seriously, go buy the book. Keagan worked really hard and Mama says supporting authors is important.

P.P.S. — COOKIES FOR SANTA!!!

Niall, that's not how you end a blog post

IT IS NOW! BYE!!!

Happy Holidays, everyone. And from all of us at the Double E... we hope you find your way home too. 🏠✨
